Synopsis

Mahesh and Friends is a mantra music band formed three years ago, born from the meeting of professional and amateur musicians.

The band, currently made up of eight members, reimagines ancient Sanskrit mantras, setting them to melodies of their own creation.

What makes Mahesh and his band truly special is that, for them, music is more of a prayer than a performance. The intimate atmosphere that arises at their concerts can be felt almost from the very first moment. Connecting with them feels as if the musicians and the audience merge into one great embrace through the music.

This experience grows out of their community, where the sense of love and belonging is so strong and palpable that it becomes a rare and inspiring example for all of us.

On stage, the eight musicians form a coherent, deeply attuned, and mutually supportive group — something that can only be fully understood by those who have seen them perform live.

At the heart of it all is Mahesh, the band’s founder and leader, who creates and holds the space for this shared experience. Mahesh has been deeply connected to spirituality and mantras for over a decade, ever since meeting his teacher, Sri Vasudeva.

“See the One in the all and the All in the One.” — Sri Vasudeva

This is the essence that Mahesh and Friends live and share through their music — an influence that has also sparked transformation among the musicians themselves, guiding many of them toward a deeper and perhaps truer version of their own being.

About the director

More than ten years ago, I held a camera in my hands for the first time — around the same period when I began to take yoga more seriously.
At the time, I had no idea that these two paths would one day intertwine in my life.

I graduated with a degree in Communication, and my later studies led me into the world of film and, eventually, documentary directing.

Through deep exploration of yoga, self-knowledge, and spirituality, it became clear to me that — even through film — what I truly wish to share is the joy, experience, and wisdom that have gradually become part of my very being over the years.

I sincerely hope my films inspire others to connect more deeply with themselves and with life’s beauty.

I consider it my mission to awaken in people the desire to live with more light, joy, and depth.
